About Our Program

The Paramedic Program at Braxton College is an advanced emergency medical services training program designed to prepare students to become highly skilled healthcare providers capable of delivering advanced life support in prehospital and emergency settings. Building upon foundational EMT knowledge, the program focuses on patient assessment, critical thinking, advanced airway management, cardiology, pharmacology, trauma care, medical emergencies, and leadership in emergency medicine.
Students participate in a combination of classroom instruction, hands-on skills labs, high-fidelity simulation training, hospital clinical rotations, and field internships alongside experienced paramedics and healthcare professionals. Throughout the program, students learn how to manage complex patient situations, make rapid clinical decisions, and provide compassionate care during emergencies.
Braxton College’s Paramedic Program is structured to support working professionals through shift-friendly scheduling options and real-world learning experiences. Upon successful completion of the program, graduates may be eligible to sit for the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT) Paramedic examination and pursue careers within EMS agencies, fire departments, hospitals, flight medicine, specialty transport, and other advanced healthcare environments.
